This space is for colleagues, by colleagues — it’s not from the management, it’s from the team, for the team. It’s about valuing what we are together, recognizing the effort, care, and presence. If you’d like to thank a colleague, this is the place. It will be published in the next newsletter.
Shout out
A heartfelt thank you to our Science teachers for their incredible dedication and creativity in preparing iTEACH 2025. Their guidance and enthusiasm were key to the success of this inspiring event. (From Rita!!)
A special word of appreciation goes to Sophie, our exceptional lab technician, whose behind-the-scenes work ensured that both teachers and students had everything they needed – on time, and perfectly organised. Her support, especially during the preparation and wrap-up of the event, was simply outstanding. (From Rita!!)
To the yearbook Heroines
Thank you to all the teachers who shared photos, sat beside me in tough moments, and stepped in without hesitation. This yearbook was only possible because of you. Joana Turkman, Tehur Simmons, Francisca Albergaria – your effort and dedication were essential. I’m deeply grateful. (From Vanessa)
I want to give a final thank you to the kitchen team for all their support during the 304 study visits and the many other activities held at school this year—for their hard work, extra hours, dedication, and for always finding solutions to reduce waste while keeping our students well-nourished and happy. (Do Diogo Santos)
I want to give a personal thank you to Kate Tingley for the great collaborative work around all the activities held at school this year—for all the discussions, idea exchanges, constant support, and for generously sharing her knowledge and insights. (Do Diogo Santos)
A huge shout-out and heartfelt thank you to our amazing Pre-school and Kitchen teams for all the dedication and effort in organising such a special night for our graduates – it was truly unforgettable! (from Rikke)
Also, a big round of applause to the fantastic Primary team for putting together a beautiful gala and an incredible sleepover experience. Everything was absolutely top-notch – well done, everyone! (from Rikke)

SUMMER SCHOOL AND SCHOOL CAMP
The Summer School programme offers students a unique opportunity to keep learning during the holidays. With dynamic classes, creative workshops, and interactive projects, participants develop both academic and social skills in a fun and stimulating environment. The programme also encourages exposure to new cultures and languages, sparking curiosity and critical thinking. It’s an enriching experience that blends learning with enjoyment.
School Camp is an off-campus adventure that combines excitement with teamwork. Students take part in thrilling activities like climbing and zip-lining, as well as group challenges that build cooperation and leadership. Immersed in nature, they develop courage, independence, and lasting friendships. It’s a powerful and joyful experience that contributes positively to each student’s personal growth.

LIVING SCHOOL BEYOND THE CLASSROOM: TRIPS, ACTIVITIES AND PARTNERSHIPS
In 2024/25, we organised 304 educational visits, marking a 9% increase compared to the previous year. Academic trips made up 84% of the total, highlighting our commitment to experiential learning. Activities included Model United Nations trips to Barcelona, sports in Sierra Nevada, and Duke of Edinburgh expeditions — reinforcing our dedication to education beyond the classroom.
In the same year, over 230 students (40% of the school) took part in extracurricular activities, with participation from 75% of Pre-School, 65% of Key Stage 1, and 6% of Key Stage 2 and 3 pupils.
We are pleased to see a growing network of partnerships supporting this work. It reflects a significant increase in engagement beyond the classroom and a stronger connection between school and community.
