SUSTAINABLE FASHION SHOW CLOSES THE YEAR WITH STYLE AND AWARENESS | DESFILE DE MODA SUSTENTÁVEL ENCERRA O ANO COM ESTILO E CONSCIÊNCIA
Last Friday, our Fashion Show turned the school auditorium into a vibrant stage of creativity and environmental consciousness. Students presented original pieces they designed throughout the year using upcycling techniques such as patchwork, hand sewing, fabric dyeing, and textile painting.
The result was a show bursting with style, originality, and intention. Beyond the looks, students reflected on the social and environmental impact of the fashion industry, developing a more thoughtful and responsible approach to production and consumption.
A special thank you goes to Ms Emily Brown for her dedicated guidance throughout the project, and to Manda Wright, whose support helped make this event a success.
Well done to all students involved — a wonderful demonstration that fashion can be creative, collaborative, and full of meaning.
Na passada sexta-feira, o nosso Fashion Show transformou o auditório da escola num verdadeiro palco de criatividade e consciência ambiental. Os alunos apresentaram peças originais criadas ao longo do ano com recurso a técnicas de upcycling, como patchwork, costura manual, tintura têxtil e pintura sobre tecido.
O resultado foi um desfile cheio de estilo, originalidade e atitude. Para além do aspeto visual, os alunos refletiram sobre os impactos sociais e ambientais da indústria da moda, desenvolvendo uma visão mais crítica e consciente sobre produção e consumo.
Um agradecimento especial à professora Emily Brown, cuja orientação foi essencial ao longo de todo o processo, e ao apoio constante da Manda Wright, que contribuiu para o sucesso desta iniciativa.
