Strengthening Scientific Skills in Physics | Consolidar Competências Científicas em Física

In their Physics lesson, Grade 6 students continued developing their understanding of states of matter and changes of state through hands-on practice with thermometers. Working in groups, they measured the temperature of water at different points and monitored the changes that occurred when ice was added to a beaker of water.

The data collected will serve as the basis for plotting graphs, allowing students to connect practical observations with scientific representation. Activities such as these not only make concepts tangible but also reinforce essential scientific skills—accurate measurement, careful observation, and collaborative work—that will support their progress as they advance in science at our school.

Na aula de Física, os alunos do 6.º ano aprofundaram a sua compreensão sobre os estados físicos da matéria e as mudanças de estado através da prática experimental com termómetros. Em grupos, mediram a temperatura da água em diferentes momentos e observaram as alterações que ocorreram quando gelo foi adicionado a um copo com água.

Os dados recolhidos servirão depois de base para a construção de gráficos, permitindo aos alunos relacionar observações práticas com a sua representação científica.
