Our 5th grade HGP class embarked on a flavorful journey into the past, exploring the rich world of Indian spices once traded by the Portuguese. Students discovered how cloves, pepper, and cinnamon shaped global trade routes and cultural exchanges. Through engaging discussions and hands-on activities, they connected historical events with everyday ingredients—making history both meaningful and delicious! A tasty twist to learning about Portugal’s global influence.

A turma do 5.º ano embarcou numa saborosa viagem ao passado, explorando o rico mundo das especiarias indianas outrora comercializadas pelos portugueses. Descobriram como o cravinho, a pimenta e a canela moldaram rotas comerciais e trocas culturais.
