Our School Achieves 4th Place in the Voluntary School Award! | A Nossa Escola Conquista o 4º Lugar no Prémio Escola Voluntária!
It is with great pride that we announce our school has achieved an honorable 4th place in the Voluntary School Award, granted by the Cascais Municipal Chamber. This award is given annually to schools in the municipality for their volunteer projects, recognizing the effort and dedication in favor of the community.
Among all the schools in the municipality, including public, private, and partnership schools, our school stood out as the first among international schools. This recognition is a testament to the commitment and dedication of our students, teachers, and the entire school community in promoting voluntary actions that make a difference.
For this fourth-place award, the following volunteer projects were recognized:
• Duke of Edinburgh's Award Program: Projects carried out by students at the school and partner institutions.
• Global Perspectives Subject: Volunteer actions performed by students throughout this academic year.
• Internal Volunteer Plans: Initiatives by students in various areas of the school and support for younger students.
• Family Volunteer Program: Participation of students' family members in various areas of the school.
Over 270 volunteers were involved in these projects, in one-off, semester-long, and annual initiatives.
We would like to thank all the partner institutions that welcomed our students into volunteer projects, the dedication of all the staff and families in making these volunteering moments possible for our students. We believe that volunteering is an essential part of our students' educational process, making them more aware and alert citizens of the world.

É com grande orgulho que anunciamos que a nossa escola alcançou um honroso 4º lugar na atribuição do Prémio Galardão Escola Voluntária, concedido pela Câmara Municipal de Cascais. Este prémio é atribuído anualmente às escolas do concelho pelos seus projetos de voluntariado, reconhecendo o esforço e dedicação em prol da comunidade.
Entre todas as escolas do concelho, incluindo as públicas, privadas e com contratos associativos, a nossa escola destacou-se como a primeira entre as escolas internacionais. Este reconhecimento é um testemunho do compromisso e empenho dos nossos alunos, professores e toda a comunidade escolar em promover ações voluntárias que fazem a diferença.
Para a atribuição deste quarto lugar, foram distinguidos os seguintes projetos de voluntariado:
• Programa Duke de Edimburgo: Projetos realizados pelos alunos na escola e em instituições parceiras.
• Disciplina de Global Perspectives: Ações de voluntariado realizadas pelos alunos durante este ano letivo.
• Planos de Voluntariado Internos: Iniciativas dos alunos em várias áreas da escola e de apoio aos alunos mais novos.
• Programa de Voluntariado das Famílias: Participação de familiares de alunos em várias áreas da escola.
Nestes projetos tiveram envolvidos mais de 270 voluntários, em projetos pontuais, semestrais e anuais.
Queremos agradecer o apoio de todas as instituições parceiras que aceitaram os nossos alunos em projetos de voluntariado, o empenho de todo o staff e famílias em tornar estes momentos de voluntariado possíveis para os nossos alunos. Acreditamos que o voluntariado é uma parte essencial do processo educativo dos nossos alunos e torna-os cidadãos mais conscientes e despertos para o mundo.
