A Magical Day at Cinema São Jorge and Estufa Fria | Um Dia Mágico no Cinema São Jorge e na Estufa Fria

Our preschool students recently had a wonderful day outside the classroom! They visited Cinema São Jorge to attend Festival Play, Lisbon’s only film festival entirely dedicated to children and youth. The festival presents carefully selected films that explore important contemporary themes, encouraging young audiences to think critically, reflect on the world around them, and develop empathy and self-awareness.

After the cinema, the children continued their day with a visit to Estufa Fria, where they explored the greenhouses and discovered a variety of plants. They learned about nature, different plant species, and the importance of caring for the environment—all while having fun!

The trip was both educational and enjoyable. The preschoolers had the opportunity to engage with inspiring stories on screen and experience the beauty of nature firsthand, creating memories that will stay with them for a long time.

Os nossos alunos do pré-escolar tiveram recentemente um dia maravilhoso fora da sala de aula! Visitaram o Cinema São Jorge para assistir ao Festival Play, o único festival de cinema em Lisboa inteiramente dedicado ao público infantil e juvenil. O festival apresenta filmes cuidadosamente selecionados que abordam grandes temas da atualidade, incentivando os mais novos a refletir de forma crítica sobre o mundo e sobre si próprios, desenvolvendo empatia e consciência.

Após o cinema, as crianças continuaram o dia com uma visita à Estufa Fria, onde exploraram as estufas e descobriram uma grande variedade de plantas. Aprenderam sobre a natureza, diferentes espécies de plantas e a importância de cuidar do ambiente—tudo isto enquanto se divertiam!

A visita foi ao mesmo tempo educativa e divertida. Os alunos do pré-escolar tiveram a oportunidade de interagir com histórias inspiradoras no cinema e experienciar a beleza da natureza de perto, criando memórias que irão guardar por muito tempo.
