Dear Team,

This week's newsletter brings you our latest updates and key information, including:

The Carnival was an unforgettable celebration thanks to the dedication of all involved, and the art exhibition filled us with inspiration through the creativity of its participants. A special thank you to Victoria and her 12th-grade students, whose videos brilliantly showcased the power of language in shaping identity.

We also want to acknowledge the incredible work of the students and teachers who organized the Say No to Racism demonstration, spreading an essential message of equality and respect. A big thank you to Cláudia, Verónica, and the parents for their efforts in organizing the Parents Career Day, creating valuable opportunities for our community.

To everyone who, directly or indirectly, made these events possible, our deepest gratitude. Together, we continue to build a more inclusive, inspiring, and enriching space!

PRESCHOOL: “Salteadores” turn stories into creativity

The preschoolers from Salteadores classroom explored creativity through Circle by Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen.

Inspired by the story’s mystery, they imagined what lay in the darkness, expressing their ideas through drawing and modeling.

This interactive activity encouraged abstract thinking, problem-solving, and artistic expression, making learning engaging and meaningful.

PRIMARY: Q & U tie the knot!

The 1st C class had a wedding to remember! Teacher Catarina and Assistant Cláudia became Q and U, the inseparable duo in words.

Dressed up, students cheered the fun ceremony—complete with music, decorations, and even a real cake!

Laughter, learning, and magic filled the day as they discovered why Q and U are always together in the portuguese language!

MIDDLE: Grade 5 students explore air resistance with creative parachute challenge

Grade 5 students recently explored friction and air resistance through a parachute challenge.

They designed parachutes with different surface areas, testing which hit the ground first. Using plastic bags and Playmobil figures, they measured, timed, and recorded results.

This hands-on experiment promoted teamwork, critical thinking, and helped students understand air resistance through creative, real-world application of scientific concepts.

SECONDARY: 9th graders unlock the power of levers

In an exciting hands-on physics experiment, 9th-grade students explored the principles of levers and mass distribution.

They measured the mass of an object on a balanced lever, applying theoretical knowledge to real-world problem-solving. Through calculations and teamwork, they reinforced their understanding of equilibrium, torque, and mechanical advantage.

The experiment sparked curiosity and showed that physics is both practical and fun!
