Class 4A has been busy exploring the school in a hands-on learning adventure! The students carried out measurements and calculations to determine the lengths, widths, and, as a result, the areas and perimeters of the classrooms and corridors. This activity allowed them to put their math skills into practice while observing their school environment closely.
Recent storms had affected our classroom, and the students were eager to help. They assisted in assessing the damage and planning replacements for items like windows and carpets—and even discussed the idea of changing the flooring!
The activity was dynamic, engaging, and full of surprises. Every student got involved, measuring, calculating, and helping with the preparations. It was a fantastic way to combine practical problem-solving with teamwork and curiosity.
By the end of the session, the students not only strengthened their mathematical understanding but also felt proud of contributing to improving their learning space. A day full of learning, collaboration, and fun!
A turma 4A viveu uma verdadeira aventura de aprendizagem prática pela escola! Os alunos realizaram medições e cálculos para averiguar os comprimentos, larguras e, consequentemente, as áreas e perímetros das salas e corredores. Esta atividade permitiu-lhes pôr em prática as suas competências de matemática, enquanto observavam atentamente o espaço à sua volta.
A tempestade recente causou alguns danos na nossa sala, e os alunos mostraram-se entusiasmados por ajudar. Avaliaram os estragos e participaram no planeamento da substituição de materiais como janelas e tapetes—até chegaram a discutir a possibilidade de trocar o chão!
A atividade foi dinâmica, envolvente e cheia de surpresas. Todos os alunos se envolveram, medindo, calculando e ajudando nas preparações. Foi uma forma fantástica de unir resolução prática de problemas, trabalho em equipa e curiosidade.
No final da sessão, os alunos não só reforçaram a compreensão matemática, como também sentiram orgulho em contribuir para melhorar o seu espaço de aprendizagem. Um dia cheio de aprendizagem, colaboração e diversão!
