Beach clean-up brings students together for a good cause | Limpeza de praia une alunos por uma boa causa

As part of their Global Perspectives Design for Change project, Year 8 students organised a beach clean-up for the Year 5 class. The event took place on 9th May at Praia da Conceição in Cascais and brought students together across year groups with a shared goal: caring for our environment.

Equipped with gloves and rubbish bags, the students worked in teams to thoroughly clean the beach, collecting litter and reflecting on the impact of human actions on marine ecosystems. After their hard work, they had some free time to enjoy the beach and relax before returning to Aprendizes.

It is through meaningful actions like this—regularly promoted in our school—that we proudly earned 4th place in the national ranking of volunteer schools. Congratulations to all involved for setting an inspiring example and making a real difference!

No âmbito do projeto Global Perspectives Design for Change, os alunos do 8.º ano organizaram uma limpeza de praia para a turma do 5.º ano. A atividade decorreu no dia 9 de maio, na Praia da Conceição, em Cascais, e juntou alunos de diferentes anos com um objetivo comum: cuidar do ambiente.

Munidos de luvas e sacos, os estudantes limparam a praia de forma cuidadosa, recolhendo lixo e refletindo sobre o impacto da atividade humana nos ecossistemas marinhos. Depois do trabalho feito, houve tempo para relaxar e brincar um pouco antes do regresso à escola Aprendizes.

É por ações como esta—tão frequentes na nossa escola—que conquistámos com orgulho o 4.º lugar no ranking nacional de escolas voluntárias. Parabéns a todos os envolvidos por inspirarem mudanças positivas e por contribuírem ativamente para um mundo melhor!
