A Window into the World of Work | Uma Janela para o Mundo do Trabalho

Yesterday afternoon, our school hosted its annual Career Day, an inspiring initiative designed to help our secondary students reflect on their future studies and career possibilities.

The event featured a series of engaging sessions with parents working across a wide range of professional fields, including brand and commercial strategy, journalism and entrepreneurship, UX and market research, real estate development, aviation and the military, product management and software, finance, trading, video games, neuroscience and research, the arts and video production, insurance, and leadership and sustainability.

During the afternoon, students had the opportunity to hear directly from professionals about their career journeys, daily responsibilities, and the challenges and rewards of their respective industries. These authentic insights helped students better understand the diversity of career paths available to them in the future.

A key highlight of the sessions was the open Q&A moments, where students engaged directly with the guests, asking thoughtful questions and exploring different professional realities. The enthusiasm and curiosity of our students made these exchanges particularly lively and meaningful.

We are very grateful to all the parents who kindly gave their time to support this initiative. Their contribution made the afternoon a rich and inspiring experience for our students.

Ontem à tarde, a nossa escola realizou o seu Dia de Carreiras anual, uma iniciativa inspiradora concebida para ajudar os alunos do ensino secundário a refletirem sobre o seu futuro académico e profissional.

O evento contou com uma série de sessões envolventes com pais que trabalham numa grande diversidade de áreas profissionais, incluindo estratégia de marca e comercial, jornalismo e empreendedorismo, UX e pesquisa de mercado, desenvolvimento imobiliário, aviação e forças armadas, gestão de produto e software, finanças, trading, videojogos, neurociência e investigação, artes e produção audiovisual, seguros, e liderança e sustentabilidade.

Durante a tarde, os alunos tiveram a oportunidade de ouvir diretamente profissionais sobre os seus percursos de carreira, responsabilidades diárias e os desafios e recompensas das suas respetivas áreas. Estas perspetivas autênticas ajudaram os alunos a compreender melhor a diversidade de caminhos profissionais disponíveis no futuro.

Um dos pontos altos das sessões foram os momentos de perguntas e respostas, onde os alunos interagiram diretamente com os convidados, colocando questões pertinentes e explorando diferentes realidades profissionais. O entusiasmo e a curiosidade dos nossos alunos tornaram estas conversas particularmente dinâmicas e significativas.

Estamos muito gratos a todos os pais que gentilmente dedicaram o seu tempo para apoiar esta iniciativa. A sua contribuição tornou a tarde uma experiência rica e inspiradora para os nossos alunos.
